HMS PTO Meeting presents Digital Citizenship with Mrs. Rude

Middle school is the definitive "Wild West" of digital life, where students must navigate everything from high-stakes group chats to the sudden arrival of AI tools like ChatGPT. Join us at the next PTO meeting on Friday, March 13, at 9 am in the MRC as we discuss how to help our students build a positive digital reputation and navigate the complexities of life online. We’ll skip the outdated "screen time" lectures and focus on the new reality: teaching your teen to use AI responsibly, identify deepfakes, and understand that in a digital world, "delete" is never truly permanent. We want to move past policing devices and start preparing our kids for the digital footprint they are building right now—come grab some practical, no-stress strategies for managing tech at home and help your middle schooler lead with integrity online!

Tutoring Opportunity

The PTO would like to extend our appreciation to Prep Academy Tutors for their donation of 3 tutoring sessions to our school community.

They have provided sessions valued at $240 each. As a courtesy, the PTO is facilitating access by offering these sessions for a reduced rate of $150. The first person to email us will receive the tutoring sessions. vpfunding@hmspto.org
